Handcycling

These programs combine both recreation and education in a series of opportunities throughout the spring, summer, and fall seasons. Building on the popular canoe and kayak "floats" and the popularity of the "Tour de Necklace", IGO is branching out to offer cycling "rides" throughout the park district this summer. Much like our "floats", the "rides" will be relaxed outings in different regions of the park district, allowing you to discover the gems of the Emerald Necklace with your friends and family following our extensive All Purpose Trails.
Handcycling
These programs are open to cyclists of all ages and are accessible to people of all abilities. Helmets are mandatory for all riders.
